If dandelions were hard to grow, everyone would want them in their yard.

They are there but there is SO MUCH COMPETITION WITH ALL THE OTHER WEEDS. Grass is not much competition...so they go Ape-sht all over the lawn(because it bugs you so). That and crab grass and black medic and clover...and Lavender...and other weeds especially if your area(within 100 miles had a forest fire...then you see weeds you never saw before appear in your lawn...as the seeds fly that far or even farther if it was a big fire.

They are or at least in the woodlands that allow enough sunlight through them.
